Thomas Heberer, born 1965 in Germany, has performed on 6 continents and can be heard on approximately 150 CDs.
Honors include being awarded the Down Beat Critics Poll as a member of the ICP Orchestra in 2002. Since 2008 he calls New York City home.
For his third visit to the Bop Shop (after having played here with the Nu Band and the ICP Orchestra) Thomas will bring his quartet "X Marks the Spot" of whom the New York City Jazz Record,
reviewing their album, wrote in the May 2019 edition:...."a refreshingly innovative collection of original compositions performed by a tightly focused quartet"
