Montreal group B's Bees is a hard swinging jazz outfit known for writing compelling original music and playing high energy interpretations of the music of past masters such as The Jazz Messengers, Thelonious Monk and Charlie Haden. Comprised of 4 core members and several charter members, they won over their audience at the debut concert at the Montreal International Jazz Festival in 2012.

B's Bees have been in demand at prominent clubs around Montreal and the surrounding area, playing over 100 shows and headlining two weekly Jazz parties. They are currently on the roster at two locations of Montreal’s House of Jazz and have also & developed an entire show of Charlie Haden compositions to pay tribute to the recently passed master.

B's Bees released their first album to much acclaim in 2015, featuring all original compositions by various members of the group. The eponymous album reached the #1 spot on several jazz radio charts, and reached #2 on Earshot Online's national jazz ranking.

In the Spring 2017 the group embarked on their first major tour, touring from Montreal all the way down to New Orleans, before heading back up to Montreal to record their second album. At the Velvet Note in Atlanta they were joined by Grammy-award winning saxophonist Kebbi Williams (Tedeschi-Trucks Band, OutKast, Chris Dave). Twins Jazz in D.C. they featured guest saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed, a fast-rising and far-touring young jazz star who arose from the DC jazz scene. In New Orleans the group spent a day working with Delfeayo Marsalis, honing new tunes destined for their next album.

The group released their second album in January 2018 which reached #4 on iTunes Canada’s Jazz Chart. Titled Dear Charlie, the record was a tribute to the great Charlie Haden and contains 5 of his compositions arranged in new and exciting ways.

The group is currently preparing to release their third album which will have 4 original compositions by Julien Sandiford and by Joe Ferracuti, as well as a 4-movement quite that Goodwin wrote titled Kanata Suite. The album will be released on April 20, 2018.
