Steve Greene is known primarily as a traditional jazz guitar player.
Though there are many facets of his artistry that are not known to some people. For instance he is co- director of an ensemble called “The Handmade Orchestra” in which all the instruments are all handmade from the performers imagination. Greene is also an electronic musiccomposer having written a score for the Garth Fagan Dance Company, as well as others. He plays traditional jazz tunes then will play the same tunes again forming them into an abstract sound language.
