Marilyn in Fragments
"A compelling portrait of the star in a confessional mood. A remarkable performance!" - NY Times
A cabaret evening crafted from the letters, poetry and diaries of Marilyn Monroe with songs by everyone from Cole Porter to Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn in Fragments invites us on a journey with the complex, gifted, seductive and timeless American icon. Directed by Sondra Lee, who trained at The Actor’s Studio with Monroe, Ms. Mulder will be accompanied by Jon Weber on the piano.
January 21 @ 8pm
Tom…In His Words, the Songs of Tom Waits
“Far and away the season’s best cabaret show…everything the genre can be but almost never is.” - NY Times
Marissa Mulder brings to life the beat-poetry/jazz influenced music of Tom Waits. Using his words and songs like “Nighthawks at the Diner,” “Ol’ 55,” “Heart of Saturday Night” and “Jersey Girl,” Mulder takes us on a poetic and musical architectural dig. Ms. Mulder will be accompanied by Jon Weber on piano, Ritt Henn on bass and Mike Rosengarten on guitar.
